Mindstrip’s band history started more or less accidentally in 2009. When Chris improvised on his acoustic guitar and Marco threw in some vocal snatches on impulse, they both realized quickly: they had to make more out of this jam session.

Before, Chris had painted the clubs in Berlin as a guitarist of the rock band Someone’s Sons. His way to play the guitar has been shaped by bands like The Church or The Chameleons. Marco had released two albums as a singer and keyboarder of the electro duo Twin Machine. The fusion of electronic sounds, guitar melodies and melancholic vocals soon found a name: Mindstrip.
In the very same year, the duo should become a trio. Looking for a sound nerd and programmer who should put the finishing touches to the songs, the two musicians soon hit paydirt. Marco remembered Dirk, a fellow musician from the old days. Together, they had gathered first live experiences while playing for the band Dekalog III back in the 90s.
The musical collaboration was of great use. Since then, the three Berliner have combined various influences and musical backgrounds resulting into a new sound.
Since 2010, the band has contributed songs to diverse compilations. First live gigs took place in 2011. Live on stage Mindstrip are “a mix of spheric rock and synthi-pop, of electronic music and multimedia show” says the press. As support for the band “Men Without Hats”, they excited a huge audience.
In May 2013 the EP ”Beautiful Liar“ is going to be released on Echozone. The album ”Polymere“ will follow
