After their first EP “On Air Again“, Akanoid is now releasing their second EP called “Usual Freak” taken from their upcoming album “Cocktail Pop” which is due for mid of April. The seven tracks on “Usual Freak” are not only exclusive versions and mixes, the EP also includes three more first class non-album tracks! The first one is a cover version from Nine Inch Nails all-time-hit “Sin” and with “Operation Georgie” Akanoid attacks the war politics of the current US-President in an ironic way. But the focus is obviously on the titlesong “Usual Freak” is a catchy tune with vocals that get straight to the point and cool vintage-guitar sounds that will not let you go. And yet again Akanoid is building a bridge between electro, dance, synth and indie pop. All that will be done to the point of perfection on their upcoming album “Cocktail Pop”.
