Shatter EP is the debut release of Belgian newcomer Super Dragon Punch!! who won last year’s Dark Demons Night, scoring an opening slot for Belgium’s illustrious BIMfest festival. SDP!! have been known for mixing diverse influences in their sound, and adding aggressive punk/hardcore energy onstage, not making them easy to categorise.

This record consists of 4 powerful tracks packed with heavy beats, haunting synths, dark atmospheres, and harsh cold and sometimes melodic vocals. SDP!! combines modern energetic synths enhanced with ingenious sound samples and infectious rhythms, creating original soundscapes. The lyrics explore having to deal with human communication difficulties, intent vs impact and concealed bruises.

This EP is reinforced by remixes by four artists who have their own pretty distinctive sounds. Assemblage 23 delivers his familiar electropop EBM sound, throwing in various melodic synth loops, and danceable beats. Electro/alternative rock act Terrolokaust has a more heavy Industrial energetic beat approach, and adds some heavy emotional ballad intensity to “Pure”. Iszoloscope’s take on “Inspire” is a heavy rhythmic noise beat assault, composed of crackling aggressive distorted beats, intensified by heavy glitches and distortion.
Last but not least, is a remix from secret project WO✝✝W who’s mixing hard techno with witch house vibes, giving birth to a highly danceable hypnotic tune.

Additional mixing and mastering was carried out skilfully by Krischan Wesenberg at Studio-600. The digipak’s mesmerising cover artwork has been painted by Richmond based artist Jeremy Wilson who already won numerous awards for his outstanding work. This EP is just a taste of things to come for SDP!! who will strike again in 2018 with a full-blown CD.
