about

M. W. Wild releases his first solo album "The Third Decade" after having recorded four albums between 2002 and 2006 with his band The Cascades which he already founded in 1988. Due to numerous live gigs they made their mark within the gothic rock scene. Eleven years after leaving The Cascades, M. W. Wild now presents a perfect gothic rock album which offers again at last catchy hooklines and fresh choruses instead of overproduced dark rock / pop to please the mainstream.

His musical roots are unmistakeable whether they are "Sisters Of Mercy", "Red Lorry Yellow Lorry", "Merry Thoughts" or even bands like "69 Eyes". M. W. Wild is able to not only revive this special sound, but to give it a breath of fresh air. The 13 tracks impress with diverse melodies, flurrying guitar solos and a hauntingly dark voice moving skilfully within the vocal range of Andrew Eldritch or Rodney Orpheus from "Cassandra Complex" without sounding artificial. Genre expert Tom O'Connell (ex-Garden Of Delight, ex-House Of Usher, Umbra Et Imago) is responsible for mixing and mastering "The Third Decade" resulting in a perfectly homogeneous sound pouring out of the loudspeakers.
